A Cloud based server is a centralized server resource that is hosted and delivered over a network typically the intranet and accessed on demand by multiple users.

Clous servers can perform all the same functions of a traditional physical server delivering processing power, storage and applications.

Cloud servers can be located anywhere in the world and deliver the services remotely through a cloud environment. Also dedicated server hardware is typically set up on premises for exclusive use by one organization.
