Significance of Defect

Why it's important to give a meaningful description of a defect?

The defect description/summary of defect plays a significant role and defect must communicate like “How?” and “Where?” This defect information should clearly answer exactly how the test was performed and where the defect occurred. The reader should easily reproduce the defect and find out where the bug/defect exists.
